David is our Principal conductor. He is based in London, and has over 25 years ́ experience working with choirs across the UK and around the world. He leads our workshops in Basel, and returns to conduct the Chorus when we perform.

Under his skilful direction, we connect as an ensemble, and maximise our individual contributions to achieve a rich, resonant sound.

Beverley Worboys

Beverley is the co-founder and Artistic Director of the Basel Proms, and has performed as a soloist in both Basel Proms Stadtcasino productions to date (2022 and 2024). You can read about her background, career and international concert activities here.

Maija Gschwind

Maija is our Chorus Master. She is a professional conductor and choir director, and is presently the musical co-director of the Camerata Basilea. She leads several choirs and conducts various ensembles in Switzerland and abroad.

Claire McDonack

Claire McDonack

Claire manages the Basel Proms chorus. She is responsible for onboarding new members, coordinating rehearsals, and all chorus communications. Somehow, she even finds time to sing!
