Supported by our guest singer, Chris Orton, our Chorus will be on stage at Barfüsserplatz, performing  our programme of 6 songs. David Lawrence will conduct us, and we will encourage the crowd to sing along.

NEW: We have been asked to perform on Wednesday 14 May in the Basel Theater Foyer. Maija will conduct, and we will run through all songs once.

Commitment: From 3 April onwards, you will need to attend all rehearsals and chorus workshops and make a firm commitment to one or more performances.

Perform at the ESC Arena Plus Public Viewing event, Saturday 17th May

Do you want to jump in with both boots, and perform in a venue bigger than Hallenstadion, bigger than the Royal Albert Hall, and even the O2 Arena, while not as big as Wembley? This will be a once-in-a lifetime experience!

We will select eighty singers to sing to and with the crowd – at St. Jakob Stadium on Saturday 17th May. The timing of our slot is TBC but it is likely to be late evening, before the votes are announced.

Commitment: From 3 April onwards, you will need to attend all rehearsals and chorus workshops. You will also need to keep the full day free on 17th May and be prepared for quite a bit of hanging around (there will be all manner of sound checks and technical details for crews to figure out). You are/will be pumped up to sing the six songs from memory, to/with the audience, with all the confidence and energy that you possess!

Expect lights, noise and a huge crowd. If selected, you will need to make a firm commitment to all the aforementioned points.

David Lawrence, Beverley Worboys, Chris Orton, and Maija Geschwind will hold Sing!Basel workshops to teach the public to sing Waterloo, by ABBA.

We would like as many chorus members as possible to come with friends, mingle with the crowd and sing along.
